BSA Motorcycles Revives British Heritage with 2025 Lineup

POSTED: 04/06/2025

BSA Motorcycles, a storied name in British motorcycling, has made a triumphant return in 2025 with a lineup that pays homage to its rich legacy while embracing modern engineering. Under the stewardship of India's Mahindra Group, BSA's resurgence is marked by the reintroduction of the iconic Gold Star and the unveiling of the all-new B65 Scrambler.

Gold Star 650: A Modern Classic

The centerpiece of BSA's revival is the Gold Star 650, a motorcycle that seamlessly blends classic aesthetics with contemporary performance. Powered by a 652cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, it delivers 45 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 55 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This powerplant is complemented by a five-speed gearbox and a suite of modern components, including Brembo brakes and Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tires.

Design-wise, the Gold Star 650 stays true to its roots, featuring a teardrop fuel tank, wire-spoke wheels, and a distinctive exhaust note that harks back to the golden era of British motorcycling. The motorcycle is available in several color options, including Highland Green, Insignia Red, Dawn Silver, Midnight Black, Shadow Black, and the Silver Sheen Legacy Edition.

Priced from £5,499 plus on-the-road costs, the Gold Star 650 offers a compelling package for riders seeking a blend of nostalgia and modern reliability. Additionally, BSA is offering a 2+2 year extended warranty on most variants, providing added peace of mind to customers.

Introducing the B65 Scrambler

Expanding its lineup, BSA has introduced the B65 Scrambler, set to hit showrooms in June 2025. Based on the Gold Star platform, the B65 Scrambler is tailored for riders who crave versatility and rugged aesthetics. It features a 19-inch front wheel, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires, a raised front mudguard, and a high-mounted exhaust, all contributing to its off-road-ready demeanor.

The B65 Scrambler retains the 652cc engine, tuned to produce 44.4 horsepower, and comes equipped with Brembo brakes and ABS for enhanced safety. With a seat height of 820mm and a wet weight of 218kg, it strikes a balance between accessibility and performance. While official pricing is yet to be announced, industry insiders anticipate a price point around £6,000.
