To ensure you have our undivided attention we maintain a very low 2:1 instructor/ trainee ratio on all courses. We only use the most easy-to- ride, hire -bikes and any necessary riding equipment can be provided free of charge for all your training. We are open 7 days a week to provide a full range of professional rider training from beginner to advanced. At Arrow you can be assured that your time with us an enjoyable learning experience!
CBT is the starting point for Learner Licence Holders wishing to ride mopeds (no bigger than 50cc and not capable of more than 31mph at age 16 plus) and Motorcycles (no bigger than 125cc and not capable of more than 62mph at age 17 plus). It was introduced in 1990 to help reduce incident rates among young and inexperienced riders. For those of you who are nervous - Don't worry! CBT isn't a test and there's no type of exam - it's simply a course of training you're required to complete satisfactorily. Once you have, you can ride on the roads unsupervised as long as you obey Learner licence laws
This course is designed for competent riders who have completed CBT. It provides the theoretic and practical training that an intermediate rider would need in order to pass both the theory and practical test, or go on to do Direct Access training
This post - CBT course combines all the elements needed to pass the theory and practical tests to be taken on a 125 or begin Direct Access training but spread out over two days, for the less confident or inexperienced rider
This is the next phase of training for students wishing to take the test for a full-unrestricted licence. It is available for anyone over the age of 21 and can be started after either of the above stages. The course provides the training required to get a student completely prepared for both the theory and practical tests, with the minimum of fuss and the maximum of fun!
Refresher courses for ' Born Again Bikers'
This course is designed for riders with a full licence, who may have purchased a new bike, but haven't ridden for some time. A lot of things may have changed since you did your test, or maybe you just want to brush up your skills before you collect your new bike. Arrow Rider Training can arrange a course for you, designed specifically to work with your strengths and weaknesses, ultimately getting you back on two wheels - safer than ever before!
For those riders who really take their riding seriously and wish to realise how better positioning, handling, heightened awareness, improved planning and anticipation can increase their standard of riding and their enjoyment of motorcycling, then our advanced training course is an absolute must. Passing your Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists test can also entitle you to certain discounts on your insurance and membership of certain recovery services. This course for experienced riders is designed to be done in a day and can be followed by refreshers leading up to the IAM test
